Friday, Jan 8, 2021

As part of a planning grant awarded by NSF for the Spectrum Innovation Initiative (SII), innovative workshops are being organized to bring together academic, industry and federal partners to chart the research agenda for a proposed  SII Center at UCSD. Professor Sujit Dey leads the "Enabling Transformative Use Cases and Services with Spectrum Innovation" workshop, which will explore how spectrum innovation (including new spectrum allocation, technologies and policies) can enable transformative use cases, applications and services in key sectors of national importance, including Healthcare, Climate/Green Economy, Education, Transportation and Manufacturing, and how the digital divide and social equity can be addressed while boosting US economic leadership.
